Jonathan Mwanga is a Grade 1 student at Pure Nard Primary school in Zambia. He is 7 years old. He walks for about an hour every day just to come to school. Jonathan has a big family with four brothers and one sisiter: Pephias (12th grade), Loniva (9th grade), Lackson (11th grade), Blessing (8th grade) and a baby brother named Miracle. His parents, Jonathan and Neat, work hard growing vegetables that they sell at the market. Despite the long walks and busy days, Jonathan’s love for reading has grown significantly. His reading skills have greatly improved. He dreams of becoming a pilot one day.
